Hurricane Lounge Martini Bar
Website Design Project:
This was a mock design I decided to do for fun. I wanted to incorporate the slick design and club atmosphere using deep blues and black for a modern, fashionable look. I also incorporated some attractive photography to make the overall design pop along with creative content and easy to use navigation.

Business Card Design:
The client requested business cards designed along with a logo for his ministry. After consultation with the client, our discovery was that he wanted to present a strong, authoritative image that would communicate a global impact. The choice of serif fonts along with image of a global sphere would get across the “international” flare of his ministry. A simple, yet bold design helped my client make a statement to all his prospective clients.

Home Castle Organizing
Website Design Project:
This project was a website redesign for a friend of mine. She owns her own home organizing business and had thrown together a do-it-yourself website that was dated and boring. I offered to snaz up the website to create a more appealing, slick design that would draw more clients and show off her professionalism. I decided to use professional stock photography to catch the visitors attention and also added “before” and “after” photos in the services section to give the visitors a full eye view of what her services provide.

Flyer Design Project:
The client requested a postcard/flyer design to promote his upcoming dance tour. He came up with the idea of creating a backdrop of a diorama for the flyer. I had never heard what exactly a “diorama” was so immediately I went to research images and ideas to help piece together the flyer concept. I took images that all resonated with the client to give the visual appeal of what the content of his dance show would be about. I also implemented the urban flare associated with his breakdance/hip hop style of performance. This project was my first freelance design assignments. It shows my ability to research, find assets and elements and design a fully custom designed marketing piece.

Roll Model Skateboard Ministry
Logo Design:
The client requested a logo design for their skateboard outreach program. The design had to be catchy and appealing to teens within the skateboard culture using the name “Roll Model” along with some sort of icon design. I was able to work hand in hand with the client through several rounds of design concepts until we found the right fit. Working on this project shows my innovative ability to be creative and to adapt to many styles and demographics. It also shows my ability to work and communicate effectively with the client to complete the project.

Nostalgia Beauty Salon
Small Business Brochure Design:
The client requested a brochure design that presented a menu of services for their clients. Because of their focus on all natural, organic style products, I chose the lime green color to reflect their “green” philosophy of business. I also added the “nostalgic” feel of the 20′s and 30′s by providing images of hairstyles from that particular era. Combined with classic font choices with organized layout, I was able to provide our client with a well designed piece that would help attract new business to her salon.

Website Project:
Etch-A-Vision, Inc is a not-for-profit established in 2006. They help leaders deal with issues of organizational complexity and mission effectiveness. They do this by replacing “structure” (program, tradition, business) with “structure” (simple process, creativity, software tools). They also help organizations stay focused on the big picture and simplify. They help champion the vision of your community.
Etch-A-Vision came to me with nothing, not even a logo design for their company. However, after a few consultations with the client, I was able to provide them with a mock up web design that they felt communicated the look and feel for their services. This project shows forth my ability to take a full on project from beginning to end implementing good website organization, navigation, appealing design elements and functionality.

Business Card Project:
The client requested business cards that are informational, yet display his creative, artistic style. The client provided professional photography from which I used Adobe Illustrator to trace into a life-like pencil sketch. Using interesting color combinations, I was able to provide the client with something that stood out to prospective networking opportunities and that was memorable.
